    Physical Therapy Assistant

The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide treatment and patient care responsibilities including the following:

  • - Providing a full range of PT services to pediatric patients in natural environments.
  • - Exhibiting exceptional competency in PT evaluation, assessment, care-planning and treatment.
  • - Delivering care based on the Texas State Board of Examiners for Physical Therapy Assistant and the Texas Practice act
  • - Maintaining compliance with Preferred Therapy Services policies and procedures.

License, Certification, Immunization Requirements:
  • - TX state license on or before the first day of employment.
  • - CPR certification within the past 2 years.
  • - TB Screening or Chest X-ray within the past year.

Education, Training and Experience:
  • - Official graduation/certification from an accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
  • - Previous experience in the home care setting is desired.
  • - The ability to assist in transferring, maneuvering, and lifting incapacitated clients in the home setting is preferred.
  • - Previous experience working with children is preferred.
